RHINO’s plastic guard recycling programme was a world-first. In collaboration with some of NZ’s
leading truck & trailer companies, old Rhino guards are diverted from landfill, reprocessed, and moulded into new guards or to other plastic products.

The recycled guards’ properties
and performance are almost identical to those made from virgin plastic. That’s circular!

RHINO Plastic Guard Recycling is driven by our goal to reduce waste to landfill and the improve the environmental footprint for Rhino, our customers, and the transport industry. The recycling scheme depends entirely on the ability of everyone to adhere to the requirements so that the recycling can be cost-effective. Minimum quantities apply for economies of scale for freight and recycling processing.
