Overview
Some customers have been experiencing issues fitting Cap to chassis poles. Some caps are a loose fit inside the inner end of chassis poles. We sincerely apologise for this situation. It is a result of matters outside out control. Please see the explanation and steps below we have taken to remedy this.

Root Cause Analysis
All pipe is produced to AS1074 Standard where pipe diameters can change +/- 10% and still be compliant with AS1074 Standard. For example, one pipe supply measured had a very small change (0.3mm) in the inside diameter of pipe, which is still well within the AS1074 standard (i.e. the pipe is conforming). This tiny change of inside diameter was enough to result in some loose-fitting caps. Customers have used silicon or tape prior to inserting the caps into poles.
Solution – product design
Caps now have been designed with tabs to give more flexibility to fit the 10% tolerance under AS1074 standard.

Thank you for your understanding and patience with this matter – the 10% tolerance in AS1074 Standard means there will be potential for loose caps from older batches of caps. If this is the case – please Order Online.
